Signs of Spring

Photos of My Garden Coming to Life

We had a few days of sunny warm weather and some spring bulbs have popped up practically overnight.

Soon daffodils will be in bloom, too with the pretty purple crocuses

That color looks fantastic amidst all the brown in the landscape

Blooming Crocus

Here's Emily dressed in another cute outfit,  Isn't she pretty?  I Love her fashion style.

It got up to 69 degrees today so I wore my flipflops and planted some pansies.  I Love Spring ♥  I can't wait for the daffodils to bloom.  What is your favorite spring flower?

  1. how refreshing! Things haven't quite started greening up here in Kansas (in fact, we got another 7 in of snow last night!) and it probably wont until the end of the month or the beginning of next, i'm quite looking forward to it. Until then, i'll enjoy your wonderful photos!
Emily looks so spring and pretty in that dress. I can't wait to wear dresses without covering them up with a coat again. Does she have a blog?
P.S. Daffodils are my favorite spring flower! they always bloom around the first of April so i know spring has officially begun

    1. I agree, Abigail, Daffodils are really very charming. It doesn't matter if it's 1-2 sunny yellow beauties nodding hello at the back porch, a fragrant bunch in a vase or a fabulous planting of them en masse. I should share some of the great photos have collected of fantastic en masse daffodil plantings. Sounds like another blog topic! What can I say? Flowers make my heart go pitter pat!
I've been encouraging Emily to start a blog! Bogging is such a great way to express your creativity. As her homeschool mum, I just might make it her spring-summer break assignment. She's put together some great outfits and sewed some amazing costumes.

  3. The crocus are cute; Emily's cuter. My favorite Spring flowers are always whatever's blooming. I have tulips and muscari this year, which is a fluke not to be repeated soon. I am always overjoyed with daffodils and hyacinths -- I see fat daffodil buds in your garden.

  6. I love crocuses so much! I want to grow some. My daffodils had some buds on them last time I checked, hopefully they're still there after that freezing cold night we just had. I like that dress of Emily's!

    2. { oopsie I had a typo } Crocus & daffodils don't mind the cold, in fact, they last a bit longer when we get the cold snaps. It's the hot weather that finishes them. ~ xo
